Lateral Technologies & Solutions Ltd were appointed by Manchester City Council to ensure the predicted energy profile was achieved or bettered in the occupation and operation of the New Town Hall Extension and Library Project. 

This involved exhaustive tests of the control strategies with the control specialists to optimise the various plants, in particular the CCHP system. Detailed analysis of how the building occupiers were using the building was carried out to determine good operating practices for staff, security, cleaners and maintenance staff.

Regular meetings were held with the KES group (Key Energy Saving Group) to evaluate the agreed processes and energy savings.
