A complex downsizing and refurbishment of the store involving the ultimate release of half the floor space store to the Landlord for conversion to a leisure led extension of the Queensgate Shopping Centre.

The M&E services brief requires extensive reconfiguration of the existing infrastructure such as the HV/LV, ventilation, CHW and LPHW systems. The priority is to maintain the operation of the store throughout this work. This requires some 'lateral thinking' to minimise disruption and maximise efficiency of the space.  Lateral Technologies & Solutions Limited's provided full MEP design service included modifications to existing heating, ventilation, air conditioning and domestic hot water systems, main electrical distribution, fire alarms, lighting and sprinkler systems.
