John Lewis, Nottingham - Service Building

Client: John Lewis Partnership

Sectors: Distribution Centres

Services: Low Carbon MEP Design

Major refurbishment with new high bay extension and loading bays.

Continued growth of John Lewis selling space created a need for additional or combined distribution depots to service the extended requirements.

John Lewis' existing distribution depot in Nottingham (Arnold) was identified as a key facility to provide services to existing and future branches in the surrounding area. The key element of the works was to create additional space within a space by redesigning the mezzanine layout and upgrading / altering the existing mechanical and electrical systems.

Lateral Technologies & Solutions Ltd's design included modifications to existing heating, ventilation, air conditioning and domestic hot water systems, main electrical distribution, fire alarms, lighting and sprinkler systems.
